16-2061 On Friday, 1/22/16, Bradley Dale Smith, 26, of Lake City, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude.

During the investigation of a minor traffic accident, the deputies observed vehicles matching the description of the reported vehicles driving in a reckless manner. A routine traffic stop was attempted, however the vehicles involved failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle continued to travel at high rates of speed and failed to stop at several intersections. The vehicle was eventually stopped and contact was made with the driver identified as Smith. He was placed into custody.

Smith was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




16-2286 On 1/25/16, Charles Franklin Clark, 48, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

During the investigation of a reported verbal threat to do harm deputies made contact with the victim. The victim reported Clark became intoxicated and threatened to kill her family and burn their house down. She stated she was afraid to report the first incident however when Clark made repeated threats burn house down and broke a window when exiting the residence.

Clark was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.


16-2414 On Monday, 1/26/16, Lajonathan Lemar Williams, 23, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Robbery.

During the investigation of a robbery at a local convenient store, the defendant was identified as the suspect wanted in connection with the incident. Witnesses positively identified Williams as the individual.

Williams was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges. 



16-2480 On 1/27/16, Sylena Skinner Simmons, 39,  was arrested and charged with Forgery, Grand Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine and Uttering a Forgery. Dakota Allen Simmons, 19, was arrested and charged with Fraud and Grand Theft. Both are from Live Oak.

During the investigation of the fraudulent checks written on an account. Deputies made contact with the victim who reported the checks were for a local organization and neither Simmons had authority to have, sign/forge or use the funds related to the account. Co-defendant S. Simmons reported she received the checks from D. Simmons who advised her she could use them however would have to signed the victims name. The defendant D. Simmons and S. Simmons went to a local business and purchased $981.78 of merchandise and S. Simmons signed the victim's name on the electronic key pad. When deputies made contact with S. Simmons she was in possession of a glass pipe containing a white substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Both Simmons were arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
 


16-2494 On 1/27/16, Dakota Allen Simmons, 19, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery (Domestic Violence).

During the investigation of a domestic altercation deputies made contact with the victim. The report states the victim was struck in the face by Simmons. The victim had visible injuries consistent with her report. 

Simmons was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.



16-2746 On 1/31/16, Charles Lawrence Dawkins, 26, of Cocoa, FL was arrested and charged with Battery, Aggravated Assault and No Valid Driver's License.

In response to a reported battery, deputies responded to a local business. Upon arrival they made contact with the victim and witnesses that reported Dawkins threw a window cleaning squeegie at the victim while at the gas pumps. The victim also stated that during their trip the defendant threw beer cans and brushes at her.  A records check was done and yielded Dawkins did not possess a valid driver's license. In addition a marijuana cigarette was found behind the defendants ear and plastic baggie of a green leafy substance was located in the vehicle. A field test confirmed it tested positive for marijuana.

Dawkins was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
