17-1105 On 1/11/17 Eliel Cooks, 26 housed at the Suwannee County Jail was charged with Aggravated Battery by Detainee.

During the investigation of injuries sustained by an inmate at the Suwannee County Jail it was concluded the defendant struck and kicked another inmate causing injuries requiring medical treatment. 

Charges were added to Cooks current charges and he remains in custody.


17-988 On 1/13/17 Williams Arnold Skinner, 51 of Live Oak was arrested and charged with (Felony) Retail Theft and Trespass After Warning.

During the investigation of a reported retail theft at a local business. Deputies received the report stating that Skinner obtained several items off the store shelves and approached the customer service cashier attempting to get a refund as if he had previously purchased merchandise. He was denied the refund and left the store with the merchandise valued at $149.28 without paying for items. Records show the defendant had been previously trespass from the business for committing retail theft and has been convicted 6 prior times for the same offense which elevates the crime to felony status.

Skinner was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.



17-1302 On 1/13/17 Carlos Samuel Santiago, 28, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence by Strangulation.

During a call for service reporting a battery incident, deputies responded to a local convenient store. The report states the defendant was involved in a physical altercation with the victim, where he intentionally grabbed the victim by the throat, shoved her to the ground and continued choking her to the point she nearly lost consciousness. The report states the defendant has a prior DV conviction and several other battery convictions. 

Santiago was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.



17-1343 On 1/13/17, Samuel Reyes-Alvarado, 29, of Charlotte, NC was arrested and charged with No Valid Driver's License.

During a routine traffic stop for unlawful speed contact was made with the defendant. A DHSMV record check confirmed the defendant did not possess a valid license.

Reyes-Alvarado was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.










17-1412 On 1/14/17, Audrey Green, 33 of Michigan was arrested and charged with Battery (Domestic Violence).

During the investigation of a reported altercation deputies made contact with the victim. The report states the defendant was involved in a altercation with a family member and based on the scene assessment was determined to be the primary aggressor. The victim sustained lacerations and bruises as a result of the incident. The defendant reported she acted in self-defense however she did not have injuries consistent with her reports.

Green was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




17-1453 On 1/14/17 Eduardo Salinas, 44 of Live Oak was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Battery Domestic Violence.

During the investigation of an domestic altercation deputies responded to a residence. Contact was made with the victims who reported the defendant came home intoxicated and became involved in a verbal altercation with one of the victims which then became physically violent. The second victim attempted to intervene and break the altercation up when the defendant struck the second victim unprovoked. This action resulted in an altercation with the second victim. The victim had visible injuries consistent with the report.

Salinas was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




17-1471 On 1/15/17, Kathleen Mortlock, 53, of Ft. White was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon. 

During the investigation of a reported incident with a knife deputies responded to a residence. The report states Mortlock went to a family members residence to get a knife and threatened to cut the throat of anyone that came in the door. 

Mortlock was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




17-1476 On 1/15/17, Jorge Mario Velasquez, 35, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with No Valid Driver's License.

During a routine traffic stop contact was made with the driver identified as Velasquez. A DHSMV records check confirmed the defendant did not possess a valid driver's license. 

Velasquez was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




17-1494 On 1/15/17, Zachary Don Morris, 25, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

During the investigation of a reported disturbance, deputies responded to a local church. The report states when persons arrived for church the defendant was discovered in the adjacent cemetery screaming profanities. It was observed the defendant broke his guitar over a grave marker while in the cemetery. Contact was made with the defendant and a search of his person yielded a straw and filter consistent with the use of meth. The defendant admitted he had recently used meth.

Morris was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
 


17-1586 On 1/16/17, Brian Edward Sheehan, Jr, 22 of Port Richey, FL and Tristan Alexander Werning, 20 of Youngstown, FL were arrested and charged with Trespass of Active Construction Site and Resisting without Violence.

During investigation of unauthorized persons trespassing on a construction site chained to equipment, deputies made contact with the defendants. The defendants were officially noticed, proper posting of No Trespassing/Active Construction Site signs were properly posted at the time of the incident. The defendants did intentionally enter and remain on property without authorization. 

Sheehan and Werning were arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
