16-13283 On 5/10/16, Charles Gunard Brautcheck, 44, of Branford was arrested and charged with DUI.

During the investigation of a reckless driver when deputies made contact with the driver of a vehicle matching the description. The driver was identified as Brautcheck he was asked for his license and the strong smell of alcohol was observed. The defendant admitted he had been drinking for several hours during the afternoon and consented to field sobriety tests. When the defendant tried to step out of the vehicle he had to use his vehicle to hold his balance. After several attempts to complete the tests the defendant stated he was too drunk to complete the finish tests. A breath alcohol level test yielded his alcohol was 3 times the legal level.

Brautcheck was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.


16-13428 On 5/11/16, Kenneth Alan McClain, 28, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Making a False Report to LEO and Making a False 911 Call.

During the investigation of a reported stolen vehicle deputies made contact with the reporting person identified as McClain. McClain stated he was struck in the head and when he came to, his truck was missing. Information provided by McClain was not consistent with evidence and information yielded in the investigation. During the time this incident was reported a vehicle fire was reported and actively being worked nearby. Information was received that McClain's cell phone called 911 near the location of the fire not from the store he stated his truck was taken. When confronted with this information, McClain stated the truck he reported stolen had in fact caught on fire when he tried to turn around and decided to call 911 and report it stolen to keep from getting in trouble by the vehicle owner.

McClain was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges. 


16-14006 On 5/18/16, Benjamin Willis, 66, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Robbery w/ Firearm, Aggravated Assault w/ Firearm and Petit Theft.

During the investigation of a reported robbery deputies made contact with the victim. The report states the victim left a friends home and saw Willis on the side of the road when he pulled a rifle from his vehicle and began to approached her vehicle. The victim further reported he had a handgun in his other hand and he pointed the weapon at her. She stated he demanded money that was owed to him and took the car keys, some cash and a wedding ring and then fired one of the weapons in the air. It was also stated he returned her keys and told her if he did not have the money by a designated time he would kill her and her family. Contact was made with the defendant at a residence nearby where he stated he had not seen the victim recently, however voluntarily turned over the ring and stated she gave it to him as a payment for the money she owed.

Willis was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.


16-14034 On 5/18/16, Jeffery Loring Hingson, 54, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Exploitation of an Elderly Person and Grand Theft.

During the investigation of theft of funds, deputies determined the defendant knowingly used deception and/or intimidation to obtain funds from the victim. The defendant obtained a debit card from the victim and used it several times to obtain cash. He then used it for services at a local business. The defendant had knowledge the victim was elderly.

Hingson was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.


16-14458 On 5/21/16, Lora Lynn Springer, 46, of Ft. White was arrested and charged with DUI 3rd Offense in more than 10 years and DWLS/R Knowingly.

While conducting a traffic stop on another driver D/S Davis with emergency lights activated instructed traffic to move into an opposing lane to avoid a collision. The vehicle operated by Springer failed to move over causing the deputy to leave roadway to avoid getting hit. Another LEO agency conducted a traffic stop on Springer, and D/S Davis made contact with the defendant. She presented an ID card and advised she did not have a valid DL. This information was verified as well as indicated she had 2 previous DUI charges. The deputy observed the strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant and she was unable to successfully complete field sobriety tests. A breath sample indicated she had nearly double the legal level.

Springer was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.



16-14464 On 5/21/16, Michael Eric Cameron, 34, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Attempting to Elude.

During the search for the defendant on warrants deputies were boloing the area the defendant frequents when they observed his vehicle approach the immediately back up and start fleeing away from LEO. The deputies activated emergency lights however Cameron continued to flee travelling at high rates of speed throughout the area eventually attempting to flee through a wooded area when his truck got stuck in a hole. The defendant was placed in custody on the warrants and stated charges.

Cameron was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
