16-23213 On 8/7/16, Rose Emma Burke, 33 of Lake City was arrested and charged with  DUI.

During the investigation of a trespassing and reckless driving incident deputies made contact with the reporting person. The report states a vehicle was stuck in a pit on his property after being observed driving reckless and running a stop signed near the residence. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle who was trying to exit the car, deputies observed the strong smell of alcohol. The defendant was identified as Burke and she was unable to complete field sobriety exercises and refused to submit to a breath test.

Burke was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




16-23282 On 8/7/16 Andre Jason Hamilton, 31, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Flee and Elude, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon and DWLSR Knowingly.

While on routine patrol deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle matching a BOLO given for a vehicle wanted in a suspected homicide. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop when deputies activated emergency light and continued to elude stopping failing to stop at posted traffic signs. The driver of the vehicle hit the patrol car several times while trying to evade LEO and stop vehicle. He further sped thru residential areas and between homes eventually losing control and hitting a power pole. The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to run from deputies when he was apprehended after a foot pursuit. Hamilton was identified and placed in custody.

Hamilton was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.

 


16-23199 On 8/6/16, Dillon Pomerleau, 25, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery on LEO.

In response to a reported person out of control, deputies made contact with family members. THey advised the defendant was upset and had been hostile towards them and would most likely be combative if confronted by LEO. Deputies observed the defendant covered in blood and he refused to open the door. Deputies made contact with the defendant who was observed to be intoxicated due to the strong smell of alcohol on his person. When the defendant was instructed he would be checked out by EMS before any further action was taken he became combative, pulling away from deputies, then grabbing refusing to left go. During the altercation a deputy was scratched causing exposure to the defendants blood. The defendant continued to be agitated and combative and only became compliance after additional measures were taken by LEO.

Pomerleau was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




16-23552 On 8/10/16 Luis Resendiz-Ramirez, 39, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with No Valid Driver's License.

During a routine traffic stop for speeding deputies made contact with the driver identified as Resendiz-Ramirez. The defendant stated when asked he did not have a valid license and was only able to produce a Mexican Passport. A records check confirmed he did not have a DL.

Resendiz-Ramirez was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.


16-2645 On 8/11/16 Shane Robert Westwood, 33, of Branford was arrested and charged with DWLSR Habitual and Attaching Tag not Assigned.

During a routine traffic stop for an expired decal, deputies made contact and identified the driver as Westwood. The defendant was asked for his license and he advised is was suspended for prior infractions. In addition the tag on the vehicle was not assigned to the vehicle it was displayed on.

Westwood was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.




16-23730 On 8/11/16, Frank Edward Cooper, 56, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery.

In response to a reported battery deputies responded to a local restaurant and made contact with the involved parties. The report states the defendant was consuming alcoholic beverages outside the store and became angry while was involved in a verbal dispute  on the phone. When he hung up the phone, the victim reported and defendant struck him in the face causing his nose to bleed. He then walked away. Contact was made with the defendant and he admitted to consuming alcohol and striking the victim, the defendant stated it was in self defense, however no visible injuries were observed on the defendant.

Cooper was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
