On Friday, July 4, 2014 Shane Jackson Young, 24, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery by Strangulation, False Imprisonment, and Felony Criminal Mischief.
D/S E Padgett responded a call reporting a domestic incident he made contact with the victim and a family member were actively involved in a physical altercation with Young. Upon identifying himself as LEO, the family member and victim ceased their involvement and Young continued to strike at them. The defendant only complied after deployment of taser. During the investigation it was reported the incident began during a return trip from town in which the defendant became angry with the victim and began hitting her. The victim exited the car when they made a stop and the defendant forced her back into the vehicle threatening to kill her. The victim reported the physical attack continued when they returned home including being slammed into the vehicle, being dragged by the hair, choked to the point of passing out and having a glass frame broken over her head. After several hours of ongoing abuse the victim called a family member to come and get her. The defendant woke up to the victim and family member gathering her belongings and attempting to leave when the second altercation began and 911/LEO was called.
Young was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Saturday, July 5, 2014 Cornel Ricardo Rothwell, 26 of Lake City was arrested and charged with Possession of -20 grams - Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine.
During a routine patrol reserve deputy T. Wadford made contact with Rothwell walking on the side of the road carrying something in his hand. Upon further inspection the item was discovered to be a baggie of a white substance appearing to be cocaine. A search of his person yielded another baggie with crack cocaine and marijuana. A field test was performed positively indicating results of cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana. The defendant admitted that it was cocaine and marijuana.
Rothwell was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, Gregory Hardee Brown, 52, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Trespass on Property other than Structure or Conveyance.
At approximately 3:00am deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to receiving texts that Brown was en route to the residence. The homeowner repeated warned Brown that he was not welcome and Brown continued to text he was en route and the homeowner could call LEO if she needed. The homeowner showed the texts to deputies who were on scene when Brown arrived. He was further warned by LEO he not welcome on the property. Brown indicated he was going to see the resident or go to jail.
Brown was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Saturday July 5, 2014, Andrew Paul Weeks, 29, of Live Oak, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on LEO, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude and Possession of Marijuana - 20 grams.
During an attempt to identify an individual in reference to an attempted theft of items from a convenience store. D/S Woloszyn attempted to make contact with the subject. The subject exited the store to get his ID, while walking threw a small baggie containing a green leafy substance in the grass near his vehicle. The subject entered his vehicle and fled the parking lot nearly hitting 2 deputies on scene. The subject fled the parking lot at a high rate of speed, without head lights on and ran several stop signs and red lights. The vehicle was found abandoned on SR 51 with paperwork in the vehicle positively matching the identity of Andrew Paul Weeks and a taser probe in the front seat from deployment in the store parking lot. He was located at a residence on 104th St with a taser probe in his shoulder.
Weaks was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Monday July 7, 2014, Orona Gerardo, 32, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery/Domestic Violence.
D/S Clark responded to a report of a domestic battery. Upon arrival he made contact with the victim who had visible abrasions and swelling due to an altercation. The victim reported Gerardo struck her numerous times on both sides of the face as well as with a metal chair while holding an infant and in front of other small children.
Gerardo was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Friday July 4, 2014, Katie Elizabeth Sheffield, 23 of High Springs was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief.
D/S Ferguson responded to a report of a damage to a pipe connected to the well. Upon contact with Sheffield who admitted to running over the pipe.
Sheffield was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Wednesday July 9, 2014, Julie Lynn Lake, 44, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with battery.
Sgt. S. St. John was dispatched to a location in reference to a battery. Upon arrival he made contact with the victim who advised during a verbal altercation Lake spit in the victims' face and hit her in the face. Lake admitted to spitting on the victim.
Lake was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Saturday, July 12, 2014 Bryan Wayne McDonald, 35, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with DWLS/R - Knowingly.
At approximately 11:11 pm D/S Kastor on routine patrol observed a vehicle leave the roadway and travel onto the shoulder of the road several times. He conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver. It was confirm his license was suspended. McDonald who freely admitted being warned prior that his license was suspended.
McDonald was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Sunday, July 13, 2014 Allen Camejo, 34, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with Battery and Criminal Mischief.
D/S Kastor responded to a residence in reference to an altercation. Upon arrival he made contact with the victim and homeowner. They advised Camejo was a guest at the residence and became involved in an argument with the victim which turned physical. Camejo struck the victim in the face and grabbed her wrists and held her by the throat. The homeowner intervened instructing Camejo to leave. When he exited the door the victim and homeowner locked the door behind him, at which time Camejo attempted to force his way in to the door causing damage and a portion of the door to break.
Camejo fled prior to LEO arriving and was located a short distance away. He was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Monday, July 14 2014 Rufino Hernandez-Almaraz, 24, of Live Oak was arrested and charged with No Valid DL.
While on routine patrol Hernandez-Almaraz was observed weaving from side to side and crossing the centerline while driving. A traffic stop was conducted and Hernandez-Almaraz advised he did not have a valid license and produced an Mexican ID card only.
Hernandez-Almaraz was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
On Saturday, July 12, 2014 Mynor Gonzalez Carias, 32, of Branford was arrested and charged with No Driver's License, Operation of Unregistered Vehicle and Attached Tag not Assigned to Vehicle.
During a routine traffic stop D/S Z Clark made contact with Gonzalez Carias who advised he did not have a driver's license. This was confirmed thru a DHSMV records check. Upon further investigation, the tag attached to the vehicle being operated was reported lost/stolen from Alachua County and the vehicle itself did not according to DHSMV records have a current registration.
Gonzalez Carias was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges.
